# NameSTL

> Type a name, see it in 3D in your browser, download a print-ready STL or 3MF file. Designing and previewing are free. You pay only when you download.

NameSTL (https://www.namestl.com) is a browser tool that turns names and short text into files for FDM 3D printers. It is built for people who want a personalised print without learning CAD: name plates, keychains, cake toppers, pet tags, nursery signs, wedding place cards.

## What it does

- 18 fonts: 9 script faces (Corinthia, Meddon, Dancing Script, Pacifico, Great Vibes, Yellowtail, Kaushan Script, Satisfy, Lobster) and 9 block faces (Oswald, Roboto, Anton, Science Gothic, Poppins, Playfair Display, Baloo 2, JetBrains Mono, Space Mono).
- Script names are joined into one connected piece, so cursive letters do not print as loose parts.
- Bases: none, standing plate, cake topper, cake topper with prongs, circle sign, keychain (with ring hole), pet tag (with collar hole) and outline plate.
- Up to 5 rows of text per design, each placed separately.
- Letter thickness from 0.5 to 10 mm. The first letter can be scaled from 0.5x to 2x.
- Live 3D preview you can rotate and zoom before paying.
- Export as STL, or as 3MF with the letters and the plate on separate filament slots. Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer open the 3MF with two colours already assigned, so AMS owners can print a two-colour name without setup.
- Exported meshes are watertight solids, so slicers do not need to repair them.
- Unlimited subscribers can paste up to 100 names and download them all as one ZIP.

## What it is not

- It does not ship physical prints. People without a printer can send the file to a print service; the /3d-printed-names page explains how.
- It is not a general CAD tool. It makes text-based models only.
